I found this site today that does crowd based scouting.
It is a very cool system that allows anyone to register to become a “scout”. One then is subjected to a head-to-head player selection system in which two players are given & the user selects the player they feel is better. For example, it might say Duncan Keith or Brent Seabrook. If more people select Duncan Keith, Keith will move ahead of Seabrook in the rankings. If one gets two players they never heard of, they can just skip that round.
With more people scouting, the data should become more reliable and accurate. Register to become a scout yourself right here.
One can also follow Crowd Scout Sports on Twitter.
Here are the current top-20 rankings utilizing the crowd based scouting system as of August 29th, 2016.
