The Blackhawks got off to a good start scoring a power play goal and out shooting the Kings 22-10 in the first period. The second period was even as Chicago won the shot battle 23-22, and Artem Anisimov added a goal. The Kings dominated the third period 21-12 in shots, but Crawford shut the door for Los Angeles’ second scoreless game in a row.
I really liked the forechecking of the Panarin – Anisimov – Hossa line. They have been able to create quick offense off takeaways and have looked good after two games together.
Second 👎 game in a row for Hjalmarsson, which is something to take note of.
The Hinostroza – Rasmussen- Tootoo line performed well, although a little too high event for my liking. High event means a high amount of shots for both teams when they were on the ice. Normally, one wants the 4th line to play low event, no shots for anyone, kill time type of game.
