Game 20 vs Edmonton

  • The Blackhawks were shutout 5-0 by the Oilers.
  • The penalty kill had a rough night as they gave up three goals. (Technically, only two as a penalty ended right as they gave up one of the goals, making it an even strength goal).
  • The penalty kill was conservative and did not apply much pressure. This was how they played at the beginning of the season that led to poor results.
  • Rasmussen has been really good on the penalty kill. He was scratched for Desjardins who was on the ice for a couple goals on the PK.
  • Corey Crawford had a rough night as EDM was expected to score 2.55 goals, yet he gave up 5 goals. He normally stops the Klefbom and Slepyshev goals.
  • The Toews line performed well for the first time in a while.
  • The Anisimov line performed poorly for the first time in a while.
  • The Hinostroza line continues to excel. Hinostroza in particular had a great night. He was one of Chicago’s leaders in individual expected goals. This means he was taking many shots and good quality shots.
  • The Forsling – Hjalmarsson pairing underperformed, which is usual.
  • The Kempny – Seabrook & Keith – Campbell pairings consistently play well.

  • πŸ‘ Keith – Campbell pairing

  • πŸ‘Ž Forsling – Hjalmarsson
  • πŸ‘Ž Corey Crawford
