I was inside Busch Stadium today and snapped a few photos of the workers installing the rink inside the stadium for the upcoming NHL Winter Classic game between the Chicago Blackhawks and St Louis Blues.
Here is what it looks like on December 20th, 2016.
The little rink below is the small rink the kids play on before the game.
The refrigeration system start along the street outside. Part of the street is blocked off with many trailers that power the coolant system. The pipes run in from the street and through center field up to the rink near the diamond part of the baseball field. This is illustrated below.
There isn’t much substance to this post, I just thought I would share the photos I took today.
